1.1. Problem Statement

The general problems to be solved by the class scheduling program are the following:

a. Integrate classroom scheduling and Instructor course assignments.

 b. Ensure all teachers are given a fair schedule.

c. Store previous schedules so they can be consulted as necessary.

d. A secure server for the schedules and databases are stored.

e.Multiple schedules being worked on at any give time.

f. Allowing some form of student input into the scheduling process.

Current commercial software, only schedules classes or Instructor to courses. The integration of room assignments and Instructor preferences is important. When the two are separated it creates a system which is inefficient and creates unsuitable schedules. It becomes more difficult to ensure fair room and course assignments for all the teachers.
