This
scheduling program is meant for use in the Computer Science Department at
California
Polytechnic
State
University
in
San Luis Obispo,
California, but is equally viable as a
secondary setting for other departments, be they at Cal Poly or at other
universities. More generally, the tool has possible application
in a range of educational institutions, although these outside users are of
lowest priority for these requirements. It is intended for direct use by instructors
to enter their schedule preferences for a term and view resulting schedules.
The Scheduler is intended for use within a school’s computing system to
allow instructor and administrative access. While not exclusively limited to
academic organizations, the Scheduler is primarily formatted for Cal Poly’s
users, where they plan classes, rooms, and times as desired.
