Mimosa seems to be a rather well rounded application for the resource scheduling task we're trying to fill. Glancing at their current user list, the functions must have shown improvements over past products and manual procedures. However, there still exists several aspects of our project that do not appear to be addressed in the Mimosa software package.

Good Features:

• Strong export functionality
• Manual, Automatic, and Mixed Scheduling Modes
• Customizable reports (thus also multi-language)
• Various conflict detection and avoidance in place
• Allows changes to resource configurations on the fly
• A few course optimizations options (i.e. reduce breaks between activities)

Bad Features:

• UI wasn't as clean looking as desired

Missing Features:

• Preferencing of Teachers courses and work schedules
• Plug-in system to allow new weighting of schedules

Note: All research was based on feature lists and screen shots. As not actually using the application, true functionality ease was not checked. Should this product be the best match for our project, further research is suggested.
