1.5.5 PrimeExam
PrimeExam is a test generator tool designed specifically for educators. Unlike
the TestTools program, there is no interface for students to take
an exam. But while PrimeExam is essentially only one-third of the proposed
TestTools project, it has most of the desired features that our customer wants
from a test generation tool.Good Features:
- The instructor can create a database of questions and save the bank for
exporting
- Able to populate a question database by importing a text-based document
- Multimedia capability
- Drag-and-drop interface for test/database generation
- Hard copy printing of exams and databases
- Search criteria for individual questions including by textbook and subject
Bad Features:
- Limited on setting parameters for a randomly generated test
- Modification of previously loaded database questions is cumbersome and
ambiguous
- "index" identification number is tedious to deal with
- Aesthetics are very "Windows 3.1"-ish.
