Test Creator is an application for just creation of tests. Test creator is not free and costs $100 for the full classroom package. This classroom package also comes with Student Test application which allows students to take the created tests on screen and submit them. The application also stores all the questions used in previous tests in a database, so they can easily be used in future tests. The application is not very intelligent about selecting questions when generating tests and only offers a random generation and not specific criteria generation. It is a very simple tool and does not have the most elegant interface, or a lot of fancy features. However, overall it does a pretty decent job at creating and taking tests, but could definitely use some fine tuning and improvement.

Good Features:

• Can create different types of questions, including: Multiple Choice, True/False, Fill In The Blank, or Essay.
• Can add a picture to any type of question.
• It has a database to store all the questions, which can be later used to create tests from those questions.
• Tests can be created by selecting any amount of questions.
• Tests can also be created by having it select questions at random. You may also specify a pool of questions from it to randomly pick from.
• Can change font and background of questions.
• Really powerful search tool, to find any question in the database.
• Can print tests or save tests for student on screen test taking.
• Automatically grades multiple choice and true and false and requires teacher to go in and grade fill in the blanks and essay.

Bad Features:

• Maximum of 5 answers for a multiple choice question.
• Interface is very confusing at first and doesn't look very nice.
• Must upgrade and purchase Student Test at $100 in order for students to be able to take the test.
• Features are scrambled across interface in no certain order. Difficult to find correct button to click on.

Missing Features:

• Doesn't have an option to have students take/submit tests over a network.
• Does not have any live test taking administration features.
• Missing a spell checker for creating questions.
• Has no options for creating questions involving program code.
• Creating questions is not customizable at all and you are limited to their 4 types of questions as templates.
