2.4.2 Out of Class Take-Home

This scenario focuses on a student that is taking the test online. Tests are taken through the normal client instead of the specialized client used in proctored tests. The student is allowed full access to all materials and programs on their computer.

The student logs into the Test Tool. After they select "Take a Test," the Test Tool displays the window shown in Figure 21.

The student selects the test that they are taking. The Test Tool displays the following window in Figure 22.

After the student reviews the information, they click on the "Start" button. The Test Tool starts the test. Taking this test is identical to the proctored test in section 2.4.1, with the following exceptions:

There is no proctor who starts the test, stops the test, or answers questions.
The test toolbar does not show allowed programs on the left side of the test toolbar.
The test toolbar does not show the "Question" icon on the right side of the test toolbar.
