Travel Hero, www.travelhero.com, is a website dedicated to hotel reservations. The site allows hotels, motels, and property management companies to add listings regarding availability. The information is accessible to the public via the websites of Travel Hero affiliates. This is the system that the Santa Cruz County Conference and Visitors Council uses to allow visitors to book their own reservations.

Pros:

• Accessible to the public.
• Contains listings for many hotels.
• Visitors can make reservations immediately.

Cons:

• Hotels must pay a commission to Travel Hero for the referral.
• Listings for availability cannot be sorted by date available or price, only alphabetically by the hotel name.
