This site is located near the town of Marsaxlokk and is not open to the general public as it is still an active archeology site with several excavations underway and efforts are being made to preserve the remaining ruins. This is the second cistern we investigated at this site. It looks like it probably connects with the first cistern although due to low water levels we were unable to confirm this.
Shown below is the sonar image illustrating the shape of the cistern. The access point leads to the small room at the top of the sonar picture and the passageway coming off. The rest of the image shows the tunnels associated with the other Tas Silg Temple cistern access point, which we believe connects to this one as shown.
