When the instructor clicks the Advanced Generate button, the options appear as shown in Figure 4.

For the advanced generate:

• The number column shows the number of the question on the test.
• The time column specifies the minimum amount of time required to finish that question.
• The difficulty column specifies the difficulty of the problem.
• The last used column allows generating questions that have not been used from the present to the specified time.
• The New Category column allows the instructor to create a new category to specify.
• The Add new question button at the bottom adds a new row to create a new question.
• Any entry that is blank will disregard that category when generating that question.

Questions will be generated one at a time until all the questions are generated. If there are multiple questions that fit the instructor's preferences for that question, the algorithm will use rand() to pick a random question from that pool of possible questions. If the instructor's preferences are too strict, the generation algorithm will skip that question and continue with the rest. An error message will appear in the test edit screen telling the instrutor of the questions that were unable to generate.
