The two main user groups that will use the software are professors and students. Additionally, the software will interface with the Office of the Registrar. to enable several features.
Professors - Professors will have complete access to all features of the software. They will be able to view and edit students, assignments, grades, curve settings, etc.
Students - Students will have much more restricted permissions. They will not be able to edit any assignments or view any other specific student data. Students will be able to view how they stand compared to other students, but no student identification information will be provided in order to protect privacy. They will be able to enter hypothetical grades in order to predict outcomes, but nothing will be saved or committed.
Office of the Registrar - The software will send and receive data from the office of the registrar. It will be able to download student rosters at the beginning of the grading cycle and securely submit grades at the end of the cycle.
