2.4.1.2.2 Selecting Objects in the Snapshot Window
When the user opens a Snapshot in which the user has drawn shapes in, the user is presented with a Snapshot window shown in Figure 2.4.1.2.2a.
The user is able to select shapes and textboxes in the Snapshot window using the following Drawing Tools
in Figure 2.4.1.2.2b
Rectangle Select Tool, Free Form Lasso, Polygonial Lasso, Object Selection Tool, and the Magic Wand.
Depending upon the tools the user chooses, the user is able to delete, move or resize selected objects in the Snapshot window.

Rectangle Select Tool
The Rectangle Select tool allows the user to select multiple shapes in order to delete or move them.
To use the Rectangle Select tool, the user clicks on the Rectangle Select icon
located on the Drawing Window.
The user holds down the mouse button to select the starting corner of the rectangle selection.
While the user holds down the mouse button, the user moves the mouse to where the user wants the opposite corner of the
rectangle selection and releases the mouse button. An example of a rectangular selection is shown on Figure 2.4.1.2.2c.

Figure 2.4.1.2.2.c shows that the user has selected two shapes with the Rectangular Selection tool (The brown custom shape and the black line).
The user is now able to move or delete the two shapes selected. To delete the shapes, the user presses the Delete key on the keyboard.
To move the shapes the user clicks and drags the rectangular selection with the mouse to the new location.
Figure 2.4.1.2.2d shows the effect when the user moves the two shapes.

The user has moved the two shapes near the blue oval, but has also moved the rectangular selection tool over the blue oval.
Moving the rectangular selection tool over a new shape does not affect the selection of shapes the user oringinally made, meaning
if the user moves the two objects again with the same rectanglular selection the blue oval would not move as a result.
Free Form Lasso Tool
The Free Form Lasso allows the user to select multiple shapes or objects in order to delete or move them.
To use the Free Form Lasso, the user clicks on the Free Form Lasso icon
located on the drawing window.
The user holds down the mouse button to use the Free Form Lasso and moves the mouse around all the shapes the user wants.
An example of a Free Form Lasso selection is shown on Figure 2.4.1.2.2e.jpg.

Figure 2.4.1.2.2.e shows that the user has selected a Paint Brush object with the Free Form Lasso.
The user is now able to move or delete the object selected. To delete the object, the user presses the Delete key on the keyboard.
To move the object the user clicks and drags the Free Form lasso with the mouse to the new location, similar to the Rectangular Selection tool.
Figure 2.4.1.2.2f shows the effect when the user deletes the object.

Polygonial Lasso Tool
The Polygonial Lasso allows the user to select multiple shapes or objects in order to delete or move them.
To use the Polygonial Lasso, the user clicks on the Polygonial Lasso icon
located on the drawing window.
The user clicks the mouse button to select the starting position of the Polygonial Lasso.
Then the user clicks where the ending point of the line segment.
The user repeats the process of drawing line segments until the user reaches the beginning point of the Polygonial Lasso.
When the user is done drawing the Polygonial Lasso, the user double clicks the mouse.
An example of a Polygonial Lasso selection is shown on Figure 2.4.1.2.2g.

Figure 2.4.1.2.2.g shows that the user has selected two shapes with the Polygonial Lasso tool (The yellow rectangle and the black line).
The user is now able to move or delete the two shapes selected. To delete the shapes, the user presses the Delete key on the keyboard,
the same as the example with the Free Form Lasso tool.
To move the shapes the user clicks and drags the Polygonial Lasso with the mouse to the new location, the same as the
example with the Rectangular Selection tool.
Object Selection Tool
The Object Selection tool allows the user to select any shape in order to move, delete, or resize it.
To use the Object Selection tool, the user clicks on the Object Selection tool icon
located on the drawing window.
The user clicks the mouse button over any shape and the object will become highlighted.
When the object is highlighted there will be 4 square dots surrounding the object, as shown on Figure 2.4.1.2.2.h,
when the user selects the blue oval.

Figure 2.4.1.2.2.h shows that the user has selected the blue oval with the Object Selection tool.
The user is now able to move or delete, or resize the shape selected. To delete the shape, the user presses the Delete key on the keyboard,
the same as the example with the Free Form Lasso tool.
To move the shapes the user clicks and drags the Polygonial Lasso with the mouse to the new location, the same as the
example with the Rectangular Selection tool.
To resize the object the user clicks the mouse button on one of the black sqaures around the object and drags the mouse to the desired size,
as shown on Figure 2.4.1.2.2.i.

Magic Wand Tool
The Magic Wand allows the user to select any shape, or collection of shapes by selecting a color in order to move or delete the selected object.
To use the Magic Wand tool, the user clicks on the Magic Wand tool icon
located on the drawing window.
The user clicks the mouse button over any shape and all objects on the Overlay with the same color becomes highlighted.

Figure 2.4.1.2.2.j shows that the user has selected all red objects with the Magic Wand.
The user is now able to move or delete the objects selected. To delete the objects, the user presses the Delete key on the keyboard,
the same as the example with the Free Form Lasso tool.
To move the objects the user clicks and drags the Polygonial Lasso with the mouse to the new location, the same as the
example with the Rectangular Selection tool.
