1.5.2. Easy Grade Pro

Easy Grade Pro is available for both Windows and Mac systems. It has received many positive reviews for its ease of use, speed, and numerous features. However, it is missing a few features and could use some improvement in others.

Good Features:

• tabs for viewing additional information
• able to keep information on multiple classes in one file
• can rename columns
• can sort by name and ID for grade posting
• can create charts for specific categories
• allows for letter grades and credit/no credit
• search feature that can search all or current classes only
• allows for dropping lowest score and curving
• can generate html files and customizable progress reports
• can set rounding of grades to whole numbers, tenths, or hundredths
• different levels of access
• can modify grades graphically

Bad Features:

• e-mails grades as PICT file attachments, which may not be easily opened by users on Windows machines
• must export and upload every time grades are updated
• students need a separate login for each class when checking grades
• can’t edit grades at home without software and saving files on a disk
• only one level of undo and no redo

Missing Features:

• no network functionality
• no assignment revision history
• no pie chart or dot plot
• no collapsible columns
• no “what if” feature for students
• can’t generate random student ID’s
