1.2. System Personnel

The personnel involved in the PolyGrade Tool are as follows:

  1. End users
    1. Instructors
    2. Teacher's Assistants
    3. Students
  2. Customers
  3. System Developers
    1. Project Manager
    2. 308/309 Student Development Team
  4. Domain Experts
The end users for the PolyGrade Tool can be divided into 3 main groups: Instructors, Teacher's Assistants, and Students. Instructors are able to post assignments and grades for those assignments so that students may view them. Teacher's Assistants are able to post grades but are unable to use the higher features to add/remove assignments or add/remove students.

The end users include university faculty and students. Professor Fisher serves as a representative for this group and other potential customers.

The primary customers are the Cal Poly Computer Science Department faculty members. The secondary customers include all other university faculty members. In both instances, Gene Fisher represents us in these groups.

The project manager is also Gene Fisher. He oversees all aspects of the development process, including activities such as implementation, deployment, testing, configuration, and documentation. The project development team consists of students from Fisher's CSC 308/309 classes.

The members of the development team have researched similar pieces of software and are able to serve as domain experts on the subject of grading software.
