2.1.1 Main Window

When the user initially invokes the Scheduler tool, the screen appears as shown in Figure 1.

Figure 1: Main Desktop Layout.

The Main Desktop has a navigation bar on the left side, different buttons for options and applications on the top and the space in the center is for the actually opened menu.

The Navigation Bar provides access to all menus. The user can find all Menus to control administrative matters of the Scheduler in 'Admin'. In the section 'Resources' are all the menus to add and edit all necessary resources to provide sufficient datas for the scheduling process. All menus to run and control the scheduling process itself can be found within 'Scheduling'. The outcomes of these are shown in the menus within 'Reports'.
The button 'LogIn' leads the user to the LogIn window where the user can login for the first time or change to another user profile.
The button 'new window' opens another window with the same desktop layout. The user can than open a new, second menu in the context menu and work in this parallel to the already opened project or menu.

Figure 2: Main Desktop with logged in user and expanded Navigation Bar

In case the user has all rights, like the administrator, and enters the scheduler initially, the fully expanded Navigation Bar looks as shown in Figure 2. All different levels of Navigation are shown in this picture. The different levels are indicated by different font sizes.
How to navigate in the navigation bar is shown in the tutorial
handling the navigation bar.
If there is a user loged in like shown in Figure 2, the username and a logout button, in form of a unlocked lock, appear in the upper right corner instead of the Login button. By clicking on the logout button the user gets logged of by the scheduler. Clicking on the users name brings the user to the LogIn. There the user can change to another profile.
