1.5.1. CyberMatrix Class Scheduler 3.0

 

This is a great, easy to use software for scheduling student classes.  It is ideal for schools and other educational institutions that need to quickly schedule classes.

 

Good Features:

 

·     Covers the basics fine

·     Multi-user sharing: so that students and staff can see the class schedule that has been created.

·     Searching: could be used for searching for faculty or a certain kind of class.

·     Good security between the different users.

·     Multiple scheduling views. (by classes, class rooms, instructors, etc)

·     Customizable time periods: Schedule classes on the hour, half-hour, etc.

·     Multi-Language support.

·     Simple, clear, colorful user interface.

 

Bad Features:

 

·     Allows for the student scheduling part of things, when we are just interested in scheduling the classes and instructors.

·     Data manager feature is confusing and seems tough to use.

·     The only kinds of lists are for tasks.

·     Help menu seems weak, and incomplete.

 

Missing Features:

 

·     Teacher preference input, and classroom details

·     No easy drag and drop scheduling feature.

·     No help function, or tutorial.

·     No function for making classes and related labs are close.
