1.5.4. QuestionMark Perception
QuestionMark Perception, from the Question Mark Computing Ltd., is a full test authoring, grading and reporting software
suite for Windows. It also includes a web component that, unlike other test software packages, allows Question Mark exams to be written using only a web browser (although a full-featured Microsoft Windows interface is available as well).
Good Features:
- Questions may be added and exams constructed using only a web browser.
- Variable security levels depending on the requirements of the exam (high, medium, low).
- Questions may be delivered in a randomized order.
- Can import question contents from XML, or interface directly with Flash and Java.
- Questions can include HTML markup.
- Per question feedback stored with question in database.
- Twenty different question types.
- Support for test taking though web browser or secure Microsoft Windows interface.
Bad Features:
- No support for personalized feedback during grading (only canned responses)
- Little support for manual grading.
Missing Features:
- No ability to execute/verify programming source code within answer block.
