MapRenderer

public MapRenderer()
Constructor of MapRenderer - inits the point to the Game class and sets the size and the background color of the JPanel.
Method Detail

setOwner

public void setOwner(Game owner)
Set the link back to the Game class so that the maprenderer can get the map to know what to update.
Parameters:
owner - the instance of Game where MapRenderer will get the map

update

public void update(java.util.Observable o,
                   java.lang.Object arg)
Paints the 9 squares surrounding the point passed to the method as the arg parameter. If arg is null then the method paintComponent is called to repaint the entire map instead of one section.
Specified by:
update in interface java.util.Observer
Parameters:
o - the observable map class
arg - the argument passed from the notifyObservers method

Pre-conditions:the maprenderer is currently observing a map.

Post-conditions:the display of the map has been updated to reflect the change.

paintComponent

public void paintComponent(java.awt.Graphics g)
Paints the JPanel, drawing the necessary images to present an accurate graphical representation of the current map.
Overrides:
paintComponent in class javax.swing.JComponent
Parameters:
g - the graphics object used for drawing images.

Pre-conditions:none.

Post-conditions:the current map has been displayed.
