2.4.2 Answering Test Questions

After selecting a test, the users sees the following figure.

The figure's title bar shows the current question number. Under the title bar, the system displays two labels and one button. The label in the middle of the window shows the amount of time remaining. The right label shows the current question and the total number of questions in the test.

The Index button takes the user to the Test Review which will allow the user to jump between questions in the test and see their current statuses. The Test Review is elaborated on in 2.4.3.

The main panel contains the question and any diagrams that go along with the question. The answer field shows under the question and its diagrams. In the following figure, the user sees a multiple choice question with one diagram and four possible answers. The user selects an answer and click Next or Back to cycle through the questions in the test.

The figure below shows a problem prompt for a multiple answer multiple choice question. The user answers by checking the boxes of their selections.

The figure below shows a problem prompt for a matching problem. The user clicks the text box for each answer and types in the letter that corresponds to an option on the right.

The figure shows problem prompt for a short answer. The user answers the question by putting a short-answer in the textbox. The user selects the textbox by clicking on the white rectangle, and then begins typing their answer. Fill-in-the-blank questions appear in the same manner with "________" replacing the blank.

The figure shows problem prompt for a long answer question. The user selects the textbox by clicking on the white rectangle, and then begins typing their answer.

The figure shows problem prompt and a code submission text box for a code question. The user writes code and pastes it into the code submission textbox. A script written by the instructor grades the code after the test.
