2.1.2. Student Interface Overview
The default layout for the student appears in Figure 2.1.2.1.

For the most part the layout consists of the same elements as the instructor's user interface. The biggest difference being the students do not have a Roster widget. Instead they have a communication widget to communicate with the instructor in various ways during the lecture. See section 2.5.1 for more information on the communication toolbar. The students also do not have a Roster drop down command menu, since that is an instructor-only feature. The students also have an added navigation button, which is the sync button. This button will be discussed in further detail later in the requirements.
Figure 2.1.2.2 shows an expansion of the command menus.

All of the student commands function exactly the same as the do for an instructor. For more information on these see section 2.1.1. The only difference here is that many of the commands are missing, since they are instructor-only commands.
