2.1. User Interface Overview
When the user initially invokes the eClass, the fullscreen window appears as shown Figure 2.1.1.

The initial display consists of splash screen to choose which class you are entering. The drop down box will list all classes that a user can participate in. Instructors will also have an option in their drop down list to load a new class roster. After choosing a class the user will be taken to either the student or the instructor main screen depending on whether their logged into a student or instructor account.
If the user is invoking the application on their personal computer from home or on their personal laptop in class, they will have to login to their Cal Poly account before they can enter a class.
Figure 2.1.2 shows the login screen.

The Figure 2.1.1 splash screen will be proceeded by this login screen. Once the user successfully logs into a Cal Poly account, they will be taken to the splash screen as shown in Figure 2.1.1 to choose a class.
