1. Introduction

This document defines requirements for the Grader Program. This program's main function is to assist instructors in recording grades, updating grades, and submitting grades to a university, specifically Cal Poly of San Luis Obispo Student Information Services(SIS) Server. There is no program in the market that can interface with Cal Poly SIS Server, update and syncrhonize the student information class roster and submit the student final grades provide by the Grader Program.

The grader program has the features to add assignments, give teacher assistants the ability to update grades, and let students view his or her grade and class standing. The professor has the ability to assign a teacher assistant and set priviledges for him or her to add/update/remove grades. When the teacher assitant is done updating the grades, the student can view his grades in real-time and and use the prediction mechanism to predict the final grade he or she will received assumming that he has completed all the future assignments with decent scores. Finally, by the end of a grading period a professor can submit the final grade to the Cal Poly SIS Server.
