1.5.2. MyGradeBook

Getting started with MyGradeBook is delightfully easy. Many of the features that it does include are very intuitive to use. Many basic grading tools function how you would expect them to (with a few notable exceptions). The users have access to the tool through the web and no local software download is required. Many more advanced features however are completely absent. There is no way to curve grades automatically. Graphical manipulations of grades are completely missing (although a few of the reports include graphs and graphics). There is no way for TAs or even students to login, the tool seems to be intended entirely for instructor use. One of the most glaring omissions is the lack of a spreadsheet style view to allow sorting of data in different ways. The only order the grades can be viewed is the way it was entered.

Overall what was done was done well, but the tool actually felt incomplete.
