Add, Edit, or Remove a Listing

Tourist information center staff are also able to add a listing to the database. This would happen if the hotel is unable to update their own information via the website. To add a listing to the database, the user clicks the "Add" button from the main interface. This brings up the window shown in Figure 1. Here the user fills in all the pertinent information about the listing such as the hotel name, dates available, number of rooms available and the price. Clicking "Submit" adds the information to the database.

To edit the current listings for a hotel, the user clicks the "Edit" button in the main interface. This brings up the window shown in Figure 2. The user can select a hotel to change the listings for, and edit the information directly in the table. In this case, the user has selected to edit the listings for the Harbor Inn. After selecting Harbor Inn from the pull-down menu, the user changes the number of rooms available from two to four. To remove a listing, the user selects the listing from the table then clicks the "Remove Listing" button in the bottom left of the screen.
