Main Interface

The SCHMO main interface is designed to be used by tourist information center staff. The interface is split into two tabs: one to view listings as seen in Figure 1, another to view administration options as seen in Figure 2. Under the "Hotel/Motel Listings" tab is a menu for search options and a table to display the search results. The table defaults to showing information about all current listings if no search criteria are given, and each heading of the table can be used to sort the information. In the table, all pertinent information about listings is shown, including the hotel name, whether that hotel has availability, the number of rooms available, the hotels phone number, address and city.

To narrow down the results shown in the table, the user has the option of defining search criteria. In the search menu the user can specify which hotel, the date, the price range, and the city to search in. The user is also able to add, edit, and remove listings from the database by using the buttons on the bottom left. The "Confirm Booking" button on the bottom right is used when the tourist has decided which hotel to stay in.

The "Administration" tab contains all the options for configuring the system. Here the user is able to add, edit or remove a hotel from the database. Options are also given for configuring which database the application is connected to.
