Although e-Classroom type applications have yet to take on widespread use, some comparable products include:

Each of these related systems provide a wide variety of e-Classroom functionalities, including screen sharing, student and teacher interaction tools, video and audio sharing, as well as roll call and chat room availability. While each system may provide a slightly different toolset, there are some features which we would like to improve on for our own e-Classroom application. These improvements include:

1. more flexibility in adding multiple layers at differing opacity to each slide for notes and slide additions;

2. an expanded toolset for modifying slides on the fly;

3. a better method for saving slides, both for the presenter and the students.
